On Friday, June 30, we responded at the request of the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department to assist in a seizure of 37 dogs from a single property. They all appear to be Golden Retrievers and Bernese Mountain Dogs. Our staff worked swiftly to remove the dogs from horrible living conditions, and we can’t possibly thank you enough for the support that makes it possible for us to do this lifesaving work. The dogs have settled in comfortably at our shelter and if you’d like to help, they could really use wood and pine shavings. As these dogs are seized, they are not yet the “property” of SCHS, so we cannot pursue adoption at this time. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more.
